Microsoft store in the Aventura Mall

December 24th, 2012 · 3 Comments

In these post millennial times it is really hard to go a day without using some form of technology. Our technology keeps us informed, helps us stay connected to friends and family, and it is a primary form of entertainment. Streaming media has actually replaced many of the more traditional forms of entertainment in homes across the planet.

In the 2nd most visited mall in the nation, the Apple Store is the most visited retail store out of the hundreds of stores in the Aventura Mall. If you are not using technology from Apple you are most likely using technology from Microsoft.

Until recently there has not been a store in the area dedicated exclusively to the world of Microsoft. In order to purchase Microsoft products and get support you would have had to go to a large scale retail chain that carries multiple lines such as Best Buy or Radio Shack. To go along with the launch of their latest operating system Windows 8 and their new tablet, the Surface, Microsoft opened up a temporary store in the Aventura Mall. What started out as a pop-up store for the holidays is now looking to be a permanent fixture.

The face to face support that you get from a store committed to the Microsoft brand is fantastic. If you decide to upgrade to Windows 8, you can bring your lap top into the store and a staff member will help you install it. Their new tablet is pretty awesome as well. The Surface features a 10.6 inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Microsoft decision to offer hands on support to Aventura is definitely a positive one, and for those of you that enjoy both Microsoft and Apple products now the Aventura Mall is your one stop shop.

What technology are you shopping for this holiday season?

I will be coming over to PC. Much cheaper and more compatable with many things.

MAC! Yeah, a PC might seem cheaper, but in the long run, a MAC will last you much longer than a PC. You don’t need additional softwares/hardwares or any of that virus stuff either. MAC’s are reliable and will always be dependable. Plus, you could never resell a PC like you could with a MAC. Who uses a PC anymore anyway?
