Village of Gulfstream – Changes in the pipeline

There’s another change on the horizon, and it will take place minutes from Aventura. The Village of Gulfstream will shift their focus on a retail center and attempt to be more of a social and nightlife destination. Let’s face it, it’s very difficult to compete with the Aventura Mall.

Forest City at Gulfstream Park is closing. According to the an article by Sun Sentinel Reporter Melissa Caceres The Gulfstream Casino is looking for More partying, Less shopping! Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino officials say they want to fill the open-air mall surrounding the gambling emporium with food and entertainment venues instead of the tony but mostly empty boutiques it now has. The park’s parent company, The Stronach Group, said it has bought the adjacent center, called The Village at Gulfstream.
