It’s time to visit the Auto Show and check out all the impressive vehicles. Almost every company has a presence – Ford, Chevy, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Ferrari, Porsche, Range Rover, and more. You can see cars that are both in and out of your budget. This year the buzz is surrounding the electric cars – the Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt. Several years ago, car companies unleashed Hybrid vehicles and now fully electric cars are the new thing. It wasn’t long ago when SUVs were the car of choice for most drivers; however, with the price of gas increasing and the shift towards environmentally friendly consumerism, electric cars will likely be a huge hit. The price points are high and it’s unclear where charging stations will be located, still the Auto Show guests are eagerly awaiting these vehicles in the market.

In the “green” section of the Auto Show, there was another type of transportation option – fully electric scooters. American Electric, located in Aventura, FL., presented two electric scooters offering an alternative mode of commuting. At the show, they have a booth next to the Nissan Leaf and have been a popular destination. When you meet the team you’ll quickly recognize their energy and  passion for supporting a “green” community. They are excited about electric cars hitting the streets, like the Leaf and the Volt, and proud to have a presence at this year’s Auto Show.

You can still visit American Electric during the remaining days of the show. They are eager to meet everyone that stops by their booth. When you’re done gawking at the new Maserati and Ferrari, come back to earth and head over to the “green” section.
