CROSSFIT NMB Grand Opening and Fundraiser

Get ready for CrossFit North Miami Beach to make its presence known. On the morning of Saturday, October 3rd, the unique fitness facility will open its doors to the community, clients, family, and friends to celebrate its Grand Opening, which will double as a fundraiser to send local disadvantaged and disabled children to camp.

This fun-filled grand opening event will give community members a chance to experience try a CrossFit workout, mingle with professional athletes and Olympians, enjoy a healthy and hearty brunch, bid on exciting silent auction items including items from Tiffany & Co., Linda & Barry Gibb, lululemon athletic, Fritz’s Miami Beach, Pilar Restaurant, Island Water Sports, Massages by Kia, concert tickets, cosmetic packages, and more, as well as participate in or cheer on those exercising to raise money to send disabled and disadvantaged children to camp. All proceeds will be donated to the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade and the “Fit To Play Summer Camps”.

Partners and childhood friends, Stephen Gibb (son of musician Barry and socialite Linda Gibb) and Jonas Grabarnick did their workouts in Gibb’s garage. Friends and neighbors would stop by asking to work out with them until one day the decided to take the plunge and go into business together.

And now, there is CrossFit North Miami Beach. CrossFit is different than any other work out program. It combines constantly varied movements performed at a high level of intensity; it utilizes different pathways including gymnastics, plyometrics, cardiovascular, monostructural, swimming, running, weight lifting, and more. Trainers take into consideration each person’s current level of fitness and body type and then craft a customized routine for every client.

Along with Johanna Erlebach and Gloria Gibb, the partners/trainers and true believers own and operate this fitness facility, which. Open since June 2009, CrossFit NMB has nearly 200 clients to date. Clients include professional football players, Olympic athletes, performers, moms, and those who just want to get fit.
